Las Vegas Vacation Packages
If you’re considering a vacation to Las Vegas, a Las Vegas vacation package may be your best option. Sometimes these are cheaper than any other option, and often will include the Las Vegas flight as well. If, however, you’re purchasing a full Las Vegas vacation package with the hotel, events, and flight included, there are a number of different aspects that you want to assure come with your Las Vegas vacation package before purchasing. Some of these have to do with major planning points, such as your Las Vegas flight, while others entail less grand events, such as mealtimes.
1. Flight
First of all, does a Las Vegas flight come with the package? Many Las Vegas vacation packages will seem much cheaper than others because, in fine print, they’ll mention that “airfare is not included.” First of all, if you’re looking into purchasing one of these trips, decide if they subsequently purchase the Las Vegas flight for you, or if they allow you to purchase your own ticket. This could substantially change the price of your trip, especially because you may be inclined to putting in more work than the Las Vegas vacation package personnel, thus finding a cheaper flight deal. Or, on the other hand, if your flight is included, is it a direct Las Vegas flight? To save money, it’s possible that the package company will have included a Las Vegas flight with a several hour layover in an intermediary location. To avoid that, you should investigate exactly what sort of Las Vegas flight you’ll be receiving, or if you’d be better off purchasing a package with different Las Vegas flight options.
2. Entertainment
Most Las Vegas vacation packages will include some sort of entertainment. Sometimes this will include admission into a musical show, or a magic show, which are both popular in Las Vegas. Before purchasing the Las Vegas vacation package, check to make sure that the shows are shows which you are interested in attending. If you subsequently decide that the show is not for you, you will have lost money in your purchase.
3. Free time
If the Las Vegas vacation package involves traveling with a group or a series of planned events, check how much time it gives you to yourself. It is very important to have time to be a little spontaneous or to relax on your own schedule. Similarly, if you’re purchasing a full Las Vegas vacation package, it may not have any events planned for you, and offer you no options on places to go. Your best bet would be to find a balance between packages that offer too many events and those that offer you nothing. Be wary of packages that pick you up from your Las Vegas flight and are so packed that they offer to take you directly to an event without letting you check into your hotel first, or other such cramped events.
4. Meals
Does your Las Vegas vacation package come with meals? Many people consider the biggest expense of their trip to be the Las Vegas flight or the hotel, but in reality food can run up enormous expenses. Check to see if your vacation package includes meals, in full or at least partially. If meals are included, are they meals in places you’re willing to eat? If they’re not included, is the price of the vacation package appropriately adjusted?
