Bachelorette Party
A Las Vegas vacation is often considered the epitome of the craziest potential party, probably for the city’s reputation for needless excess. If you’re looking to have a bachelor or bachelorette party in Las Vegas, known for being some of the most out of control parties, remember to keep a few things in mind before letting things get out of hand. The following tips can save or break a night, depending on if they’re considered or not, and should be high on your list of party-planning to-dos. Being in Las Vegas has the potential to be a dangerous situation (being out of control in a foreign situation), so these tips will help keep everyone involved in your Las Vegas party safe.
1. Plan out events
You may have some time during your Las Vegas vacation party that involves just hanging out and wandering around the Las Vegas strip, but make sure you have events planned as well. Look ahead of time to find a show to attend, or arrange for one. Otherwise, your party could end up being as average as your parties at home, and won’t exploit the full extent of Las Vegas’s partying resources. You may even reserve some events, or plan to purchase some sort of entertainment for your Las Vegas vacation, including props or shows.
2. Hire transportation
If you’re planning a typical Las Vegas party, it likely involves a lot of alcohol and gambling of some sort. If you happen to win anything and, moreover, if you’re highly inebriated at the end of the night, you’re setting yourself and your party guests up for disaster. Make sure to either arrange for transportation home or back to the hotel, or keep the number of a taxi company handy so you can be ready when the time comes to leave from the excesses of your Las Vegas vacation.
3. Don’t get too drunk
Surprisingly for some people, getting completely drunk is not the best way to have a Las Vegas vacation. If you want your party recipient to remember his or her Las Vegas adventure as the best party ever, make sure that he or she can actually remember it. Getting so drunk so as to not be able to remember the night will likely only result in headaches and a forgotten night. Limit the party to enough alcohol to have a good time, without going overboard. Above all, you want to make sure that you remember the best Las Vegas vacation ever.
4. Keep your ID and keys safe
Nothing is worse at the end of a long night than to discover that you’ve left your identification or wallet somewhere. This can be particularly problematic on a Las Vegas vacation where everything costs you something, and most events ask for some sort of identification. If you’re looking to go out and suspect that you may have lesser faculties at some point in the night, put your key and wallet in a place you are unlikely to lose them. An inside pocket, or a pocket that seals would be ideal places. Alternately, if you’ve got a designated driver, give your keys and ID to him or her to keep safe for the entirety of your Las Vegas vacation, or of the single event.
5. Set limits
This is most important for those Las Vegas vacations that include gambling. If you’re planning to gamble in Las Vegas, it’s not improbably in any way that you will lose a great deal of money. Therefore, if you intend to gamble, set a limit of how much money or time out of your Las Vegas vacation you’re willing to spend gambling, or how much money you’re willing to lose before you quit. If you’re planning on drinking, likewise, set up a system for your party to limit your consumption, or set up safeguards with your friends so as to keep your whole party safe in Las Vegas against too much spending or against unintended events.
